I am 26-years-old, and had a tonsillectomy on March 5th. My tonsils were extremely enlarged, resulting in Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome. My recovery has been remarkably uneventful - I have been eating soft foods since day 1 with no loss of taste, pain has been manageable, and no bleeding. However, I have begun to notice that the left side of my throat is larger (i.e., is closer to the uvula) than the right, and also still has more scabbing. Is such asymmetrical healing normal? Please advise!
I had my tonsils out 13 days ago and have had the exact same experience! My healing is so asymmetrical and by the looks of it I think the appearance my throat will remain a bit asymmetrical! It is much lower on one side of my uvula than the other. I see that you made this post over a year ago and I'm wondering if everything ended up ok with you? I hope so and thanks so much! :)
Hi, I'm wondering how this went for you? I'm having the same issue
