ALL OF U NEED TO DRINK MORE WATER!! YOU ARE DEHYDRATED BEFORE YOU DRINK AND THAT IS WHY YOU ARE GETTING SICK THE NEXT DAY. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER BEFORE ALCOHOL AND HAVE SOME FOOD ON YOUR STOMACH. DRINK MORE WATER!!!

That used to happen to me. I couldn't tolerate any white liquor. I switched to bourbon and it helped. But my body changed again and now I can't tolerate any alcohol at all. Not even one beer

Same problem, I was termed a 'tanker' in college. I used to out-drink all others and suddenly few years ago it so happened that I just couldn't handle alcohol anymore. I tried switching from whiskey to vodka to rum but in vain. I will vomit in the night itself and again in the morning. Everything that I had eaten and the yellow stuff which I have come to know through this post to be bile would be thrown up. I will also get chills while throwing up. Drinking is an important part of socializing and I was and still am an occasional social drinker but now I can't drink at all. Has anyone found a cure yet?

Hi i would have a look at a dientamobea fragilis stomach infection as this parasite is very common and notorious for causing alcohol intollerance

Alright so I'm 20 and have been drinking since age 15! Over the past year or so I blackout almost every time I drink. Mainly because I lose control of myself and I don't know when to stop drinking. I get terrible hangovers and throw up bile sometimes. I would say 80% of the time I drink I can't remember parts of the night in the morning. My father and his brother stopped drinking years ago. My dad never showed signs of alcoholism around me at least but would you think alcoholism runs in my family?

Of all the posts I've seen this one most closely resembles my own. For instance I could had 3 drinks spread out over about 3 or 4 hours. Also drank water and ate a snack during this. Made sure I was hydrated before drinking (drank a vitamin water and about 3 cups of regular water).
The next day my stomach would be nauseus and I could vomited thick bile for anywhere from 3 hours to about 8 hours the following day. Causes me to get severely dehydrated (lose several pounds on the scale in water weight)

I am surprised that you said Guiness was okay for you because I have found that is one of the only beers I seem to be less sensitive too, as well!
I've learned that taking a 20mg Pepcid before bed with plenty of water. Having water available through the night and taking another Pepcid when you first wake up before you start feeling nauseus really cuts down on the amount of vomiting and bile producution. Pepcid is literally a H2 blocker- blocking production of hydrochloric acid (what makes up stomach acids).
Good luck!

Has anyone been to a gastro doc for this? I have the exact same issues. Going to PCP on Friday hopefully for gastro referral. Last night I had 2 glasses of Rose with dinner and today I have been throwing up every 15 mins- bile and foam from 7am until 1pm and still uneasy. I take Zofran or Ondansetron for my nausea prescribed by a doc. It is the same medicine prescribed to patients who under go radiation and Chemo and get nauseous. I just want to live my life!! If I have to stop drinking then so be it-- but I want to know what is wrong with me!! Drinking to get drunk is a full body commitment. I went to Key West a few weekends ago and I committed to drinking. Mixed all sorts of islandy drinks and wine and I. WAS. FINE. But now 2 glasses of Rose and I am messsseddd up. SOS.Been dealing with this intolerance for at least 5 years.

SO HAPPY to have come across this feed as I've been having this same problem for the last few years. Drinking, even if it's 3 over the course of 6 hours, leads me to spending the majority of my next day over the toilet. Anything I attempt to eat/drink comes back up immediately, even late into the next evening.
I'm not a huge drinker, but I enjoy drinking socially, and it's a big part of the social aspect of my work (not by any means saying they expect me to drink).
I've asked a doctor and she giggled, but it's NOT just another hangover.
I'd really love to find the root of the problem, or something to help (besides weed, which does help with the nausea).
