This exact thing hapened me, it was about the 4th time ive smoked weed, i was with one of my closest friends, and we started smoking out of his pipe, i'd recently been caught by my parents and this was the first time smoking since then, i was worrying about being caught i guess. We shared about 10-15 smallish bowls and i felt nothing untill very suddenly i just started laughing, i fell back, on to the grass and everything went quiet and i guess i must have passed out. I went into this sort of dream state where i was just madly hallucinating all kind of sh*t and this f*****g annoying nursery rhyme kept replaying in my head, I only realised what had happened i guess when i woke up and then the effects got worse, intense tingling all over, blurred vision, slow motion, f*****g weird sensations in my hands like they were growing, everything someone said was repeated and in slowmotion, I thought i was going to die and was sh**ting it as i thought my parents would find me in this trippy state, i then started like this guilt trip thing i guess for about 2-3 mins, and my friend recalls me begging him that i needed to go to to the hospital and what the f**k is going on and what not. I got up and tried to walk away from the spot(apparently, i had memory loss, can only remember some detalls) and all i can remember is these weird sensations continuing, i had incredible dry mouth and everything everyone said didnt make sense i herad them but couldn't process it, i was tripping the f**k out and like everything looked like cartoons and 3d, i saw myself in like 3rd person like out side of my body, and i was trapped in my own trippy mind, I was beggining to despair and every often it would stop and then just as quicky return, it lasted about 3hrs and then gradually came down back to normal allthough I got no sleep hardly that night as i kept faling back into this trance like state, It was weird as f**k and i will never smoke weed again. I have been told i got poisoned by the smoke given from the weed, but I was addimant the weed had been laced in some sh*t the whole time. I've looked into this and understood i suffered from derealisation/and or carbon monoxide acute poisonig on the oxygen, which describes some of the effects i suffered like vertigo. My state of mind probably didn't help, and we should've smoked it over a longer period of time we smoked the bowls in around 20 mins. To avoid the poisoning ive been told to take deeper breaths and sh*t, but looking at what can happen if you smoke again after this sh*t screwed you up i doubt i'll ever touch weed again.

To the OP - I had the worst experience ever last night - one puff of pot and I was out of it for 5 hours. My heart was racing, my body kept shaking, including my head which was the most uncomfortable sensation. I got sick several times - I really thought I was going to end up in ER. Today I have a killer headache and I feel like I was run over by a truck.
I realize it sounds like something was in the pot, but my boyfriend smoked way more than me and had no bad reaction.
Needless to say, I will NEVER smoke again.
I experienced exactly the same thing two days ago. It was the same scenario, one hit sent me into a heart racing, twitching, hallucinogenic haze in which everything was warped. I came down gradually over the course of about 12 hours. This has happened every time I've smoked, which hasn't been often, with good reason. But I'm glad someone else has experienced it. Does anyone know what causes that type of reaction?
I also experienced this exact thing. And I wasn't paranoid! I was totally chill, the weed was not laced and was good quality. I only took ONE hit from a bubbler. My throat immediately felt closed (I have asthma) and I had trouble breathing. I drank water from the faucet to open my throat back up and it worked. I was fine for a short while, everything was colorful, what I imagine an acid trip would be like...I was sitting down enjoying myself when my knees started to twitch. I told myself it was probably just a side effect and nothing to worry about. But as I sat, it got worse. Then my fingers were twitching and I was shaking and felt like I was going to throw up. I thought I was going to have a seizure. This traumatizing experience went on for three solid hours. I finally was able to calm down and sleep but the high lasted for almost three days. My friend also suggested I may be allergic to it. He is allergic.
I don't know how to find out. I believe I am allergic to cigarettes, also.

So once in April, and again last night, I have had to call 911 because I thought my heart was going to burst out of my chest it was beating so fast, and both times I was woken up from a marijuana-induced sleep, which leads me to believe that this is an allergy.
The other reason I believe this is an allergy is because I contracted candida (a fungal/bacterial infection that compromises your immune system) in January, which has since then been cured, but this condition caused me to get a lot of systemic allergies. I became allergic to certain foods, mold, dust, fentynal (one of my pain medications), sulfa-based medications, strong anti-inflammatory meds, and I THINK THC. My main allergic reactions to all of these things were extreme fatigue (hard to tell with THC) and swollen eyes.
At first, I thought that I may be allergic to pot that was grown outdoor, so I just bought indoor-only, that wasn't it, I still had swollen eyes the next morning. So then I tried hash, in a glass hash pipe that had a glass piece you heat up to burn it (so no butane, even more refined THC), still swollen eyes. So then I started to purchase low THC, high CBD (the cannabinoid for pain and inflammation) at the dispensary and vaporized that. This seemed to do the trick, my eyes weren't swollen, and I wasn't groggy the next day. I also was also able to have one bite (instead of a regular dose) of my usual edible....which segue ways to the ER visits....
Both times were from free edibles that were made by companies unfamiliar to me. I learned later that these are REALLY strong, and I ate more than I should have.
Both times my racing heart calmed down in time. The EMT's seem to think that the stress from my upcoming neck surgery in two weeks is causing me to have THC induced panic attacks, but, why are they happening when I was almost asleep and not thinking about anything stressful? And, why aren't they happening all the time? This behavior is only happening when I have high levels of THC in my system, so I do think the Candida caused some sort of THC allergy.
Luckily, I have been able to pinpoint what I can and cannot have. I just have to watch those non-familiar edibles. :/

I spent one new years with my head over the toilet bowl unable to move because i wiped myself out with a bottle of Sambucca and half a bottle of champers, then still half sober i had 2 bongs. It killed me.
What the medical process is in that regard, i have no clue, but anyone whos had anything to do with weed will tell you DO NOT SMOKE AFTER DRINKING, EITHER DO IT BEFORE OR DURING.

Because you got drunk before you smoked. Any long term pot smoker will tell you how bad an idea it is.

Who said they were drinking before they smoked?
They dont need to.
Nothing reacts with THC to cause any response that would make someone believe they are allergic to it, other than alcohol, and there is quite simply no such thing as a THC allergy. Simples.
