Hello there. This is kind of embarassing to post or even tell my parents about, but I think I have a serious problem. I am almost 16 and I have just barely hit puberty, I do have pubic hair (TMI: but I may have too much) but my penis is below average size, and that's is about the only place I have hair besides some on my armpits... I can ejaculate, so most of THAT system is developed. My voice also hasn't changed much either, I still sound like I am 12 and it is so embarassing. Recently my friends have been making fun of me because of this and even ask personal questions that really shouldn't be asked. Then they don't believe me when I tell them the truth.
I just really need help with what to do, since I haven't really hit puberty I still have a lot of fat so that is also a pain because I haven't grown much. I know my dad will understand if I tell him (tbh he probably already knows) but having doctors help me just seems embarassing but I know it will have to come to that. I am really seeking help.

Hey man I really understand your frustration and embarrassment. I was a late bloomer too it sucks when 13 and 14 yr olds are more developed than you.... the good news is that you have started puberty but just need a little more time to develops. I never got any armpit hair until I was a Jr in highschool.... now everything caught the up and I'm good. As for your penis size how big is it when soft and erect? Remember to measure along the top of your penis and pressnin any fat to flatten it against your pubic bone..... as for talking to a doctor that is what they are there for and velievenme you won't be the first or last person to ask questions about these topics so try not to be embarrassed from that.... I'm a Physician. Assistant student and so I'm curious in what ways can we as providers make people like you more comfortable asking your questions like that? Should we be vague at your visit and just ask " do you have any questions or concerns"? Or should we be more specific and ask if you have any questions about puberty, sexual development, penis size etc.". What would make you feel more comfortable at the doctors?
