mom suspects she is having allergic reaction to coumadin and wanting to know if there is an equivalent alternative
I have had arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) for several years. Now my Dr. is recommending cumadin to prevent stroke because of my age. (81) I also am not in favor of rat poison in lieu of some alternative. I have been using the low dose aspirin regimen for years with no adverse effects, but my Dr. belies this will not help to prevent a stroke. After reading several blogs on the subject, I am staying with my low dose ( one half of regular)
aspirin. Maybe I won't live as long and then again maybe it will work out with less problems than going the cumadin route,
