I placed on HRT a few months ago getting 200mg shots every other week. I was given a shot at the Dr's office because I wouldn't give myself a shot. The results were remarkable; however, i had to change doctors.
It seems most Urologist would not provide the hormone and I'd have to get a prescription and then take it to the office in order to be administered. This is not a very cost effective way for me since my insurance was paying while I was getting the HRT provided by the dr.
I went to a new Urologist and he gave me the option either implanted pellets or giving myself a shot. The other option is using a gel but then again, I'd have to buy it and my co pay its very high. So I was contemplating going back to the pellets.
So here's my question is it worth it to get into HRT, considering the facts
My most recent hormone test showed 453.00 after getting the pellets 4 months ago. I went to another Urologist for second opinion and he noticed my Rt testicle is shrinking, due to the HRT.
I have a mild case of ED but not that bad. Based on my current hormone status should I stay away or go back and deal with testicles shrinkage. I'm in my lat 60's and very healthy
