I usually drink diluted sports drink when I run or exercise. So I was wondering, am I burning the sugars from the drink instead of losing any weight?

I was hoping to lose a bit of weight by running and the gym - what are your thoughts on this?

You will lose weight if you are burning more calories then you take in. I can't imagine if you are starting to run and go to the gym that you won't lose. Add a balanced diet to the mix and I'm sure you will see benifits. Welcome to the forums. :wavey:
