hi everyone some one put my mind a rest, im 5 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby and im bleeding, im having slight discomfort in my lower back n stomach it feels like a period, i went for a scan to b told that they can see some signs of a early sac, so just 2 b sure they did an internal scan which didnt show anything, told me not to worry as im only 5 weeks n a hearbeat carnt b found, i had bloods taken 2 day 2 check hormone levels n got 2 go bk on saturaday 2 have them check again my bleeding is still there on wiping but is slowing down please help me thank you
Hi Michelle,
Some bleeding can occur during early pregnancy. It is early for the ultrasound to detect a heartbeat.
Try to take it easy and keep rested. You're doing all you can do.

A lot of people experience bleeding during pregnancy and it's not always a miscarriage, i don't want to say anything that might get your hopes up or scare you half to death. But i can say that you are doing all of the right things and as the bleeding is slowing it is most certainly a good sign & i'am wishing you all the best
Can totally relate to the post above. I too am having the same issue as you.
I found out on the 4th June that I am pregnant with my 3rd child. 3days later I had no MS & felt great. Later that night I began spotting & visited the dr the next day. (According to when I last remember my LMP was the 1st March. I thought I was either 9 or 13w. My doctor therefore had asked for a dating scan which was not until the 14/6.) He said I could be having a threatened mc & to wait until the scan... 7days!!!!
I then went off to work highly distressed to be called by my husband saying the dr had organised an emergency US at the hospital later that afternoon.
When I went for my scan & told the sonograpger how far I thought I was, she proceeds to tell me I'm measuring only 5wks. Therefore there was only a sac, no fetal pole or HB. She also said if I was as far as I thought then the baby had died wks prior. Now I find that strange only that if I assume I was only 5w, I had only had MS for close to 2wks, & like with my boys noticed it at roughly the same time. I was 6w with both of them when I tested +.
After resigning myself to the fact I had mc'd, I left it a week until I went back to the doctor. Having begun bright red bleeding (only a sml amount of niggling pain around ovaries) & the bleeding still continuing while I write this, the clots have been only thumbnail size & only had maybe 6 all up so far.
He has now scheduled some HCG monitoring taking blood twice & seeing the difference in levels. So now patiently waiting til Friday for results.
My question is is that is he doing these bloods just to make sure my HCG levels drop? Because he is convinced I've mc'd? (He has done no internals or anything, other than the doppler the day I got my + urine test - which explains why there was no HB). Or does he hold hope that I might still be carrying??? Without sounding rascist, he is Egyptian & was a bit hesitant to treat me (he is not my usual dr either.).
Any advice would be great.

On another note, my stomach today is rock hard & resembling size & look when I was 16w pregnant with my 2nd child... It's just all too real.
