i delivered a baby in january 2006. i have not had a period yet since delivering. however, on or around may 7, 2006 i had discharge that was brown in color that changed to pink(that lasted only a few hours). i thought it was my period. then nothing came after that. then a day later again i saw what i thought to be mentrual blood. again nothing came after that and all signs of blood were finished. i`m still waiting for a period and i`m now experiencing cramps(may 20-21 cramping). so my question is, is this my period or some sign of pregnancy? if it was a period can i use that date to determine or expect my next ovulation period? my normal periods last 7 days w/ medium to heavy flow. %-)

If you are still breastfeeding it will do strange things to your cycle. Your period may not come back regular straight away, so it might be hard to predict when you are going to ovulate.
YOU can technically become pregnant while breastfeeding! If you are having sex without contraception of some sort, then you are at risk for pregnancy any time.
