I am diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. I am in early stage of this disease. Of all symptoms that might occur, I only have fatigue and weight loss. My doctor told me that soon I will be needed some medications for this. Can someone tell me what kind of medications he is talking about?
There are several medications you can get for your disease. As you may suppose, it depends of your disease progress and developing of symptoms. Symptomatic pharmacotherapy includes baclofen, diazepam, NSAIDs, etc. In further progress of the disease you may need Riluzole. But what is more important, is that you take all your medications regularly and with support you get, try to live normal life as long as you can.
