March 4 2013 i had my surgery 3-5 disc the doc said it was worse when he got in there.... i had the wonderful neck brace for 6 weeks.. problems swallowing and talking from day one . it is almost 4 moths still choking stil gaging.. liguids are ok. food 1st bite or 3rd i start choking ,, then i ose my voice then i hurt even more.. still gagin and feeling like i am being chocked 2 weeks ago the surgeon finally sent me to a ENT he requested a barrium swallow ,,, liguid was ok but the pill got caught up andi had to try to chase them down with liguids,, his impression the HARDWARE IS PUTTING PRESSURE ON MY ESPOPHOGUS AND CASUING THIS,,, then sunday i drank and omg i could not swallow and it came out my nose,,, i left 4 messages i went to another ortho casue since i cant turn my neck i tripped and tore my meniscus in my knee and i tild him..... he said it is not correct that i cant eat solids for 4mths... that the reason is either the hardware. a cut on the nerve in the neck the voice box .. so i am gathing my info and going fo rmy opionions anyone have help on this..
