My first symptoms appeared over a year ago and was diagnosed with severe anxiety, and 3 months ago (which i had valium for in when i needed it.My Dr put me on a low dose anti depressant as it was consuming me, lack of sleep, crying all the time as well as all the usual symptoms. I had 2 months on Endep and finished them,. I felt good for a week or two then BAM- massive headaches and sore neck, sharp shooting pains in my head, achy jaw and immediately i was back to square one even afraid to go out incase something might happen to me, fighting going to sleep in fear of not waking up. The tightening in my head freaks me out and although ive seen my chiro, had a massage and seen my Dr in the last week..im still worrying.!
this time my Dr put me on Aropax and today is day 5...i cant wait for them to kick in for my mind t relax so these symptoms will slow down. Im amazed at how strong the mind is. My Dr has given me about 5 month repeat this time as opposed to 2 months and said i am not ready yet and there is a better way to get through the day than what im doing now. She is very suppportive. I must say that although i know theses feelings are anxiety i still like reading these forums as its gives reassurance...and support.
Guest post from 5 months ago is so true. if your arm were broken we would go to the dr.

You could be so tense that you are trapping various nerves that will give you the pain. Have you tried going to yoga to learn some breathing techniques or pilates. Anything like that to learn to re-educate your body to relax. I learnt yoga breathing years ago and it is one of the most effective things to do to relieve stress and problems. If you are only using the top part of your lungs which a lot of people do, then you could be over tense. Hope this helps.

Yoga breathing will help and drink plenty of water. I was for years going mad with the dizziness and constant confusion, worked out I was not drinking enough water. Amazing how it stopped as soon as I drank more. i fill a glass and put by the tap (fawcet) and drink it when I go past, then refill it then and there. So, always water at room temperature to drink. Give it a try.

hey you guys,
i do too suffer from EVERYDAY panic attacks, anxiety and headaches. i don't even care much for the panic attacks and anxiety, but the headaches are what bothers me most. They feel like short stabbing pains in my temple, but sometimes the stabbing pain goes all around my head. Also, I get throbbing pains around my head as well. The throbbing pain is mainly around the back of my head. Sometimes it even feels a little numb. Well, I came to the conclusion that all of this is definitely related to my panic attacks and anxiety because I realized when I'm out of school and away from stress, I don't get as much headaches, panic attacks and anxiety. Also, when I take anti-anxiety pills, my headaches aren't there anymore. The three must all be related!! To those who think you have a brain tumor, stop thinking about it because I ALSO went to go get checked up (just in case) with my doctor and I got a CT SCAN! It showed that I didnt have a brain tumor! So my suggestion for you guys is, treat your anxiety and panic attacks. I took clonazopam for my anxieties for about 2 weeks. Then I quit because I read online how alot of people ended getting addicted to it and became dependent on it. After 2 weeks, my headaches went away for a bit (~about a week) but recently started coming back again because I been stressed about school. However, my headaches are not as bad as before, but still annoying. Just to be safe, i'm probably going to get an MRI scan as well.
I hope you all get better,
Feel free to contact me.

I first encountered panic attack two months ago since then things has gone way far. I am mostly scared about my headache, chest aches etc etc..I know it's very hard not to worry but seems it's the only way!!
Guys I have started meditation it really helps I am not saying it's the only way but it's better than medication.
I don't know how long or maybe life long I am going to have the attacks but I am going to survive it I know for sure and it's easier with meditation.
I know the suffering and you know about yours anyone who has not tried yoga or meditation please try once and say for yourself..
Also admist all the anxiety and panic attacks do smile and have relax coz it's not permanent it has to pass .
Help others alot it gives you purpose and happiness
Smile and let's be warrior instead of worrier.
May you all have strength to overcome your anxieties and depression!!
