AT 63 I developed sudden bouts of bladder urgency which would cause me to run to the bathroom every 20 minutes. Each time there was only a bit of urine maybe a few tablespoons but my body forced me to void and if I didn't I would have an accident. I also had the urge to defecate at the same time almost as often until I had completely emptied my bowel completely so that I would end up feeling like a prune. There was some dull pain near the opening of the bladder . I have never had a uti, the scope showed a normal bladder and all other tests showed no problems which would explain this. I was told that the ageing bladder becomes sensitive to acid and other things but this doesn't explain the need to void the colon also. I am celibate, never had any infections such as yeast etc.or any other infections. At the beginning I reacted to running water which would trigger the urge to urinate which suggest a psychological problem. I can be fine for three months and then be hit suddenly with an attack.
