Only azathioprine made a difference. My Crohns disease is finally under control. Fourteen years ago, when I found out, for the first time, that I have Crohns disease, my battle started. Prednisone, sulfasalazine, Pentasa, combinations of those drugs and nothing. I was bleeding despite my therapy, no to mention diarrhea. So, if you have Crohns disease, which is difficult to treat, azathioprine is much better than prednisone or any other.
