Hey guys, cool site dunno if this is the right place to put this but sure here we go anyway. Im just back training after about 6 weeks out with a knee injury picked up from an over the top challenge in soccer. Since September of 05 ive only been keeping fit for soccer purposes before then i was into running. Now i want to get fit. Been going to the gym too over the last few months and started doing weights for the first time.

Plan is to get my fitness up to peak, went out for a 3 miler last week and nearly died after it (cant believe how unfit u can get in only a few weeks), could only manage a mile on the treadmill today after a weights workout.

Plan to start a training regime next week and aim for good fitness for the start of August when fingers crossed ill be starting Police training. Thing is i dont want to lose out on the strength ive gained from weight lifting as i want to keep that up to. If anyone has any training regimes i could copy and adjust to myself or advice please feel free to post. Heres a copy of my pbs (all 04/start 05) im 21 years old

2m - 13:07
3m - 21:22
5m - 37:38
6m - 49:07
7m - 57:31
8m - 72:51
9m - 83:26
10m - 87:48

Those are some pretty good PRs, which means you should be able to get back into that condition in no time. I'm just like you, when I stop running for a week or longer, I get totally out of shape. You just need to take it one day at a time and don't rush into getting back into the condition you were before. Just keep on running and don't worry about getting better the very next day.
