**Sorry for the graphic description, but I'm in so much pain right now and don't know what to do. If pictures will help I will post**
I recently visited the doctor's after experience abnormal clear, watery discharge and a fishy odor from below. I was diagnosed with a yeast infection and given one dosage of diflucan, which I took on Monday. The next day, I received a call that I had tested positive for bacterial vaginosis as well, and was given metronidazole, which I started on Wednesday.
Throughout these few days, I was also experiencing feelings of soreness and inflammation near the lower part of my labia. This morning I woke up to find that four red bumps had formed on the left, and three on the right side where I had previously been experiencing tenderness.
At this point in time, 2 have have seemed to have open and closed over, although there was no pus or anything left behind. My discharge has now taken on a yellowish color, and the smell has increased. The inside of my vaginal walls have a bunch of red, open sore like spots on them too, I can't use the bathroom without excruciating pain.
Should I wait until the metronidazole treatment is over before seeking help? I'm not sure if this is an allergic reaction to it or something, or if I should return to the same doctor and/or get a second opinion. The bumps don't look like herpes pictures that I've seen but I don't know what else could be causing them. Has anyone experienced anything like this before?? I have no idea wtf is going on down there, nothing like this has ever happened.
