I have tonsil stones in my tonsils. Been a problem for years. Has anyone been helped by having their tonsils removed? After healing from tonsillectomy is the bad breath less, or the same?

I honestly don't know how people can push and prod the back of the throat and the tonsils! Just brushing my tongue makes me gag. I guess not all people have the same anatomy.
