brilliant answer cause funnily when my estrogen is low i don't smell an odour and i know cause i get my estrogen and progesterone checked every month and when it is high the smell is very strong as my estrogen is much higher. when ur on the pill maybe your estrogen is lower and less side effect ie fowl smell

This is the best answer. I'm over it after this reply. I guess being a 32 years old female I have to just deal with it now. Any help with why my hair is more greasy now? Hormones? I went off the pill from 15 years to recalibrate and WOW, things changed. Dr's all have different opinions. I do not want to be treated with antibiotics anymore because it has completely messed up my flora in my belly. OB/GYN forget to tell you to take probiotics when killing everything off with antibiotics. Great learning process on my end.

Um, this is incorrect. Estrogen rises right before ovulation. Any ovulation test kit will tell you when your estrogen levels rise as this is an indicator ovulation is coming. Medical student knows better than you dimwit

Estrogen does not drop during ovulation, it starts rising 4-6 days before ovulation and it peaks the day we ovulate. Go get a medical degree and then have an educated discussion with an actual medical student smh.

I know this is over a year old but I'll have you know that a woman's pheromones smell most pungent when her Estrogen levels are at their highest. The medical student's post is 100% accurate and he/she did not specify it being consistent with 'ovulation' as such in the first place. Get off your high horse

If it's just the smell and your not trying to get pregnant I would say try a hydrogen peroxide douche. It gets rod of every smell and since it is naturally in the vaginal it's safe.

Yes can be, but then there are some associated symptoms as well like itching, change in vaginal discharge, etc. That typical smell during ovulation is due to change in hormone levels specially estrogen.
