My question is should I stop taking meds. I don't think they work. They help the depression but my anxity in the mornings is something from hell.. I stoped smoking pot daily over a year ago and then had some bad things happen that triggered my feelings. Has anybody ever made it through this?? Or am I bound to have no energy and never feel like myself again..??? Help please.. All my doc wants to do is keep me on meds..
My husband has a severe anxiety disorder and a lot of medicine he tried never worked. Finally a new doctor put him on Lexapro 30mg and I can not believe the results. His panic attacks have gone down to almost none (he still has one every once in a while but it doesn't last more than a few minutes) and he feels so much better. If you don't want to be on medicine at all then that is something you really need to think about. There are some people who believe that natural herbs and diet can help with almost any problem. The doctors don't want to keep you on meds because "they want you on meds", they want to help you feel like you should. If you disagree with your doctor's decisions and advice you should talk with them about it and tell them how YOU feel. If you don't like what they have to say then you should find yourself a different doctor.
