I started my period 16 days ago. I also started taking my first pack of Yaz the day I started my period. My period has not quit yet. Sometimes it is light and then the next day it is extremely heavy. I am really worried because I have never had a period this long before. I am also taking prozac, xanax, and synthroid, so I am wondering if maybe taking all of those is causing a problem.
Hi Krissie, when your doctor put you on YAZ did he/she know about your antidepressants?
Yes my doctor is the one that put me on the antidepressants too.
Hi krissie, I did some major investigation for you with the interactions and didn't find any! Even though birth control can take upto 3 cycles to calm down it usually happens in the 1st month! I want you to phone your doctor and ask about changing your pill! In 1% of patients taking Yaz they experience Vaginal Bleeding! So since this has happend for 16 days, that's not a good thing at all!
