I've been on birth control pills for two months after next week which is when I'll be having my period if I get it, my boyfriend and I were having sex last night and sometime during, the condom broke but we didn't know. He says that he's pretty sure it happened right near the end, he always pulls out but since we didn't know the condom was completely broken he went near my vagina and on my legs I know there is a possibility of pregnancy no matter what but do I need to go pick up a plan b pack ? I take my pill correctly and haven't forgot one in the two months I've been taking them. I'm just very stressed and want a second opinion. And is my birthcontrol alone a safe method alone with pulling out.
You only need a back up method during the first month of starting the pill. If you've been taking the pills everyday and at the same time then you should be fine. This also happened to me, I went and asked if I needed plan-B and I was told exactly the same thing I mentioned above. The pill is not 100% effective so if you want to be 100% protected then I suggest you also use condoms. I've been taking birth control for a year now and never used condoms, except for the first month, and I haven't had any problems.
