I have had unusual discomfort in the neck/throat area for two days now. When swallowing, the pain is unbearable, but not in the throat itself. It is more like a swelling on the side of the neck which apparently gets irritated with normal functions like talking and eating. Same side ear showed minor discomfort a couple of days before (related?). Seem to be salivating more frequently, which leads to more swallowing, and ultimately more pain. Swollen glands? Only on one side of the throat/neck. Any help?
