I had no bleeding of any kind until exactly 13 weeks. I was on my feet a little more than usual that day, but nothing major. I felt a rush of blood in the late afternoon and headed to the restroom. There was bright red blood covering my underware, thin panty liner and even on my jeans. I immediately called my dr office and of course it was after 5pm. I did get the nurse who sent me to the er. I was beyond terrified! They took blood and told me if I was miscarrying there was nothing they could do. I am carrying twins so I asked if they would be able to tell me if it was one or both babies. They took me for an US and the techs had the screen facing them so I couldn't see anything. One of them pointed to the screen and said call this one baby A and that one baby B. At least I knew there were two! After sitting in the waiting room, the nurse told me my blood results were good and the US was good too, showing 2 heartbeats. However, she said if the exam showed an open cervix I would still lose the babies. Thank God, it was closed. They discharged me and said to take it easy. I saw my OB the next day and she agreed that everything was fine. She checked the babies on the US and they were fine. I have been put on pelvic rest and won't return to work for 4 days. Even then, it will be with restrictions (no prolonged standing & no lifting more than 10lbs). This morning I woke up and had a clot when I wiped. Immediately called my OB and she said not to worry. I will probably continue to bleed for several days and the clots are from blood that pools in the pelvic area while lying down. Even with 2 US in 2 days and 2 drs telling me that this is just an anomaly and everything is fine, I am still worried sick!!! I have been researching online all day and thank goodness I found this forum! Knowing that others understand what I am going through and have had positive outcomes, gives me comfort. Hopefully, I will be able to post a positive update soon. My next scheduled visit with my OB is on April 12th.

Thank you! My last dr appointment went really well & both babies had healthy heartbeats! I am currently 16 weeks 2 days and we go back in a couple of weeks to find out the genders :) I haven't had any problems since that one unexplained scare. They say it was possibly some type of hemerige, but they don't know for sure. The important thing is that te babies are ok. I'll update after my next doctor visit. I wish you luck with you pregnancy.
