Hello world. I'm 26, almost 27. I have been using Ortho Evra patches since I was 15 years old. I got off it in 2004 and had my daughter in 2006. Been back on them ever since. Haven't ever had an issue with it until a little over a month ago. I started bleeding during sex (like gushing heavy period bleeding) and yes DURING sex. We were not doing anything kinky and he is average sized but perfect for me. We've never had an issue before this. It won't stop though. I've been bleeding for over a month now. I spot during the day and if it looks clear I go for intimacy and I just start bleeding heavily again during sex so we stop.... I'm in tears because this is really straining our sexual relationship and I'm feeling rather inadequate. I've got a great man who is holding my hand through this craziness telling me it'll all be okay but I'm still scared to death. I've already made an appointment to see a doctor but wanted to see if anyone is having similar issues... I have a history with PCOS. I go regularly to the same physician for 12 years for all my gyno needs. I put my patch on on the same day of the week, same time of day each week. My periods have been "normal" to my standards with the exception that my cramps have escalated in the past 6 months or so.
I know a few will want to reply with "wait until you talk to the doctor" but I am already fully aware this needs to be addressed by a physician. However, it DOES help going into a doctor's appointment with some extra knowlege of people that have this issue and things that may have worked for them. Knowlege is power people. I appreciate all responses and any direction to causes would be stellar.
