The good news is your not alone, our symptoms are almost identical but I'm turning 45 soon and other than these sudden "IBS" issues, the past few years of my life have been the best. I've never smoked, used drugs or even drank alcohol, never needed a flu shot, still haven't had chicken pox and don't use Tylenol or any form of aspirins. My point is I've always had a healthy strong body, that is until this "IBS" issues started! Here's the short version, I overrate one late night and had reflux issue, I knew what it was and I told my Dr. He said I'll put you on acid reflux medication and some amoxicillin for your chest congestion. We'll after two days of these meds I experienced all of the severe signs ( nervousness, rapid heartbeat, anxiety, fatigue, shortness if breath!) I mean 3 ER visits in a month! Cardio specialist, chest exams, all blood test, on my stress test the dr. Said I broke the hospital record on the treadmill, even got the endoscopy! Nothing reveled anything concerning health problems. So what helped me was what I called the "Big 3". 1st I change my thought process immediately when my heart started to pound by saying "breath, this is not a heart attack, relax" 2nd I drastically changed my eating habit (absolutely no fast food, no pop, no caffeine, cut 90% of all dairy products, I stopped eating after 6pm, but I added probiotics a protein smoothie to my daily diet). 3rd I stopped taking the meds completely! My outcome so far is instead of having attacks twice a day for up to five days a week, to having ONE issue about once a week, it last for only a few minutes and is manageable with deep breaths. After I have a bowl movement the stress is completely gone. Other good points is I sleep great now, I've lost about 20lbs without extreme exercise, I'm starting to finally see the six pack I had when I ran on the cross country track team in high school and my relationship with God is at all time high. So in conclusion here's what I've learn, it appears the Dr.'s are doing what they're trained to do, push meds for their career sake (just my opinion) and keep the hospital bills coming, also some meds attack the GI track if there is nothing for them say (amoxicillin) to attack, which in turn could cause your body to attack it's self causing IBS and that "could last for months" a physician explained to me and last but not least I've learned that life is still good, " breath, I'm not having a heart attack" this will pass. Apologies for the errors I can't proof read or spell check this phone. Hope I didn't annoy, just trying to share strength though our struggles. God bless:)

Hi everyone, Im a 21 year old male. Same symptoms as all of you. I have recently been to the er twice this week to figure out my symptoms. They told me it was acid reflux. Im a student nurse and I had also came to the same conclusion. So I have been looking into things a bit. Also I would like to mention that i too suffer from anxiety. I have had anxiety attacks since I was 16. I mean real attacks. Not just the people that say they have anxiety but have never known the feeling of shaking, hopelessness and not being able to breath. I know these feelitgs quite well. It seems to me that it is far far too common that we all have had anxiety pr been told it is anxiety. However I do know that anxiety causes countless problems. So this is what I want you to think about. Can you run? ...if so ... it is not your heart. Is your resting pulse normal? Thats good if it is. Mine is 45. Bp is fine. Sp02 is completly 100 percent. I am completely for this being related to anxiety. Just think of this. Does it affect you all day? Even while your mind is busy? Or can you sometimes focus on tasks that obscur the thought of your chest weight? I can. When I ambat work I don't have a problem. I have a very active workplace. I too have felt scared because of a simple palpatation of the heart. But I can tell you those are completely normal to anybody. I really would like to see a psychologist about my anxiety. IT would mean all the world to me. Until now I havnt been having any problems with anxiety attacks recently, however, I have had serious stressors recently that happened right before thisbbreathing difficulty. The First strp to the solution is knowledge and understanding. Grab it, hold it tight! Know that it is only your anxiety and that you are better than it. Now dont let go. Your mind is powerful, it can make you hyserical. It can make you bloated. It can make you do anything if you let it. Just relax go out.. enjoy yourself. My first break from anxiety was one night.. i was having an attack and I said f**k it. I want to sleep. If I die, its better than suffering. Guess what...im still here.
Just relax... light a candle
Have fun. Get back to seeing your friends.
Have a great day friends c:

I am in awe of how many people have the same symptoms as I have. I go from having head pressure to chest pressure not I have a bloated feeling like my stomach is in my chest and I know it's anxiety because whenever something else bothers me the first thing that was bothering me seems to go away. I find it hard to believe anxiety can do this it since December when I had my first episode of have had CT scans mri of brain and lots of blood work. I was diagnosed with a vascular disease of the brain something with small blood vessels but doc not very concerned. I have to go for a carotid artery sonogram. Anyway back to original point that if these are all signs of anxiety it sucks
I also have the feeling that when I am out of just want to get back home. I do not want anti anxiety meds I just started metformin and lipitor for the blood vessels and I don't like taking medicine I can talk myself into side effects. Thanks for listening

Can be a B1 deficiency. Any gastro problem can be related to a thiamine deficiency. You can be producing too much lactic acid. When it's too high it depletes your body of oxygen which in turn can make you feel you can't breathe. From there anxiety and panic attacks. Keep in mind B vitamins help transport oxygen throughout the body and thiamine helps regenerate all nerve functions in your gastro area which helps in proper function in digestion.
