hi... for as long as i can remember i've had this problem with my right eye... its like seeing black and vison at the same time... i can see movement watch tv stuff like that... but if i go to read or play a video game or play sports i can see anything... like i can see it just cant comprehend it...for reading i see the letter just cant tell what it is... for video games i can see whats on the screen to a certain extent... and for sports i been hit in the face with football plenty of times... for my left eye i can see just fine ... i wear glasses... my mom has the same problem ... so does my 2 other half sisters... just wondering if anyone had a idea of what it could be... went to eye docter long time ago and doc didnt know what it could be
The only thing that pops in my mind would be the split brain syndrome. Where your brain recognizes these things but it doesn't have access to the part of your brain that can form the right words for it.
But if your family has it as well it might be something else. But it doesn't sound like its your eye. It sounds more like a neurological problem. You use the eye only to see but your brain tells you what you are seeing!

i thought of that to.... i just never heard of something like this being genetic... family doctor don't know eye docter don't know and idk if theres a specialist i could goto and figure this out.... im trying to join the army right now and im worried that could stop me from being enlisted.... i was also born left handed but forced to learn how to write with my right hand when i was young....when i goto shoot a gun i can aim a .22 and bulls eye a clay disk from 150ft away with shooting left handed... if i shoot right i couldnt hit the broad side of a barn
