Hi, my father has a burning pain in his right leg and instep, and he can barely walk. It also hurts him when he sits. He visited a doctor, but x-ray didn’t show anything wrong. I can’t leave him in pain, I have to know what this could be. Somebody please help me!

You have to take him to another doctor for a second opinion. I know, because a similar thing happened to me. I have a burning pain in my leg and instep for a year. I went to doctor, but X-ray didn’t find anything, so I went to see a neurologist for a formal examination. He told me I might have a mild osteoporosis. However, I think he is wrong about this. The pain began to spread up my leg into the groin area, and I’m afraid this could be some kind of lipoma or even something worse. Sometimes, it hearts so bad, that I fall down. I am thinking of having acupuncture, because it might help me find out why I have a burning pain in my leg. Your father should have it too. He has nothing to lose.

This is very often caused by nerve damage in the lower back.
