Hello everyone,
I'm going to start thanking everyone who has posted here and still checks this out. It's been really helpful and comforting to read that I'm not alone in this torture. Although at the same time, I'm saddened to know there's seems to be a lot of people that have to endure this.
I'm a 31 years old, 6"1, around 220 lb (100kg). About a week ago I had a lot of sharp pain at night in my chest and as I consider myself healthy this freaked me out and called 911, paramedics came and did EKG on me, vitals and told me I was mint. I did not go to the hospital. In the morning I went to a walk-in clinic and the GP sent me for another EKG and blood test.
For a week I've had sharp chest pain around my chest and back (specially below the ribcage, left side) , pain and numbness in my arms, especially on the left. All these symptoms are worse at night when I lay down. I'm also having anxiety and sleeping problems.
Last Friday I had severe heartburn and I thought I couldn't take it anymore so I went to the ER, after staying there I got an EKG and a blood test, everything came back fine so I was discharged. They gave me Ranitidine to take twice daily, it's been 3 days since then and while the chest pain has kind of gone away.
I'm still having severe heartburn at night, I've cut all soda, fat food. I'm trying to sleep with my head raised and I have started to get my last meal 4 hours before sleeping.
It's 3 am in the morning and I'm having the panic attack heartburn combo so I'm writing this right now instead of tomorrow.
I hope everyone reading this finds comfort in knowing you're not alone. I will post a reply in about a week or less to update you in my situation. I plan to go to a different GP again and ask for a GI referral. Finally, I'd love to hear your opinions/advice. Than you and God bless you all.

The reason it begins to hurt is because as gas fills up it puts pressure in your stomach and the pressure expands that area pinching the nerves. It's irritating. The best news I could probably give you his it's not going to kill you. :-). Let me know if you ended up having surgery. I have the same problem and the only thing I've learned to do this certain stretches which helps the gas go either out the mouth or out the bottom. The bottom is always better as you know that's the proper flow Direction. Hope that helps

As I have said in my previous replies you probably have a hiatal hernia. That is when the stomach pushes up through the diaphragm. Do research. You probably can get help from a specialist chiropractor who pulls them down. It's going to take a lot of work. I'm 52 I've had it for about 12 years. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad. Don't worry it's not going to kill you. :-)

If you get some relief from your shoulder and arm pain, then your problem is in your lungs.
