I drank a LOT of alcohol, including, but not limited to, top-shelf long island ice tea. I am not used to this much drinking, as in the past, I only got so far as extremely tipsy, but not full-blown drunk like Sunday night. Anyway, Monday evening through Tuesday evening, I had sharp pains. They felt like I had to have a bowel movement and hungry at the same time. I tried drinking milk, juice, and even sipping on a bud light to try and calm my stomach. The only thing that helped was 4 tablespoons of castor oil. It took a little more than an hour to help, even the first bowel movement didn't take much pain away, but I went to sleep, and woke up, went to the bathroom again, and I felt SOOOOO much better. Took another small one, and now working on one for later. The pain comes back, but not nearly as painful as before. I'm certain I'll be 100% by tomorrow.
I read this post while trying to figure out what in the heck was wrong with me before the castor oil, and after reading what my problem could have been just reaffirmed my decision to never drink again. I work at a liquor store, so tasting some liquors and even some mixed drinks to let customers know what I think is good and is not is a part of what I do, but I will not ever drink again, to get drunk, or otherwise. Sunday was the first and last night I will drink again. I definitely don't want alcohol poisoning, or my stomach lining to be disrupted.

Sounds like gastritis to me! Had exactly the same symptoms for years until it disappeared by it self. In my case I believe the gastritis was caused by stress/depression. Once the stomach felt a bit better my mood become much better which made the gastritis go away!
I had an attack last summer but, Losec (omeprazole) solved it!

Lay off for a few days. Most likely gas and gastritus; also worrying doesn't help matters. Treat your stomach to a smoothie. Eat light foods like oatmeal. ;-)

Gentlemen it could be a stomach bug Helicobacter pylori. I was very unfortunate to have this bug after a heavy drinking session. I can Sympathise with the person who couldn't breathe as I had that symptom along with nausea, diarrhoea. Problem being you be able to drink for months, you'll be taking different types of medication to rid the bug. So have blood and urine sample to see if you have it

I'm 23 and sometimes when I drink I get this really bad pain in my lower stomach and my right upper arm hurts really bad to where I'm crying. This happened a few days ago, and it's like the third time it's happened to me. Could this be something wrong with what I'm drinking or my body? I don't remember what I was drinking the other times but this time I was drinking Parrot Bay Wine Coolers with Captian Morgan in them. But when I drink other wine coolers they don't bother me.

For me, it definitely has to do with sugar plus alcohol. With any type of alcohol by itself, i feel great. If I combine sugar plus alcohol, within 10 minutes i will feel awful sensations around my stomach and chest that will last for about 20 minutes before disappearing and not coming back until next time. I'm very curious why the sugar seems to mess things up.

im 21 years old,
every time i drink vodka, spirits, wine pretty much anything besides milk drinks like kahalua
i get this horrible pain in my stomach it occurs after like 1-5 drinks
its unbearable pain. i end up cripped over or laying on the ground. i cannot handle this
doctors have told me everything from "stop drinking?" to "stomach ulcers"
i have tried medication and alternative therapies.
i am not a heavy drinker but i do liek to have a good time and its so hard seeing all my friends able to party and have a few drinks knowing if i do i will end up in great pain.
i have been looking into it heavily and i have found out that it is also a symptom of hodjkins lymphona?
im getting really worried and i am having tests done for this just incase.
if anyone has the same symptoms or knows an answer please help me out!
thanks

I have similar burning stomach pain except mine seems to start about 12 hours after I start drinking and lasts 12-24 hours. It starts in my stomach and feels like a burning sensation that travels around both sides and up my back. It sounds like the pain from chronic pancreatitis, but I don't have any nausea or vomiting. I feel great except for this burning sensation. Anyone else have symptoms like this?
