Definatley speak too your doctor about it if its upsetting you. Its probably something that can be lessened with drugs. Drinking LOTS of water will only help as well, Good luck and congrats too your wife and kids . Your obviously someone who is worth standing by; dont let them down now mate o/

I can't drink anything stronger than wine anymore - stronger beverages cause an immediate sense of powerful nausea.

Try taking an acid reducer. I experience the same thing. If you can take the acid reducer before you start drinking it really helps.

sweetpeal1985 DON'T WORRY! I been drinking since I was 18 and now I'm 30 but I've experience the same exact symptoms you have, but only I grew a belly and I also get the dark green stool but only I get a nasty crazy feeling of using the restroom right after I eat any food or drink anything. But even though I like to drink, I started to think! my health is more important than anything so I stop drinking it's been about one year I haven't drank one beer and I'm slowly getting better so my advice is to cut down now or better yet quit before is to late.GOOD LUCK! Thank you for sharing.

same thing here. i noticed it first, very bad, when i drank a honey sleemans. i almost dropped to my knees in pain in my stomach, which then made its way up my back. i like to drink and have a smoke when i bbq, or a couple brews with the dudes, not an alcoholic at all. i can drink bud light no problems. but today i ate a cold cut trio sub from subway, and i had the exact burning feeling. going on about 5 hours now. wtf?

My family member just died this month after being diagnosed a month and a half earlier with liver cancer.  He liked to drink Jim Beam and hang out with his friends. He was 42.  He went to the doctor as he thought he may have kidney stones since he had them before.  He found out something alot worse. By the time he got checked out it was too late.....it was already in stage 4 and there was no treatment that could save him.  Stop the drinking now!  Go get checked out immediately.

I have very similar problems, but they just don't seem to be going away. I was drinking daily, usually about three bottles of wine a week. I started to feel a hollow ache in my stomach, a few inches above my navel, each time I drank. This worsened until finally, against all better judgment, I went to a wine festival after running five miles and having no real breakfast or lunch. After about an hour I felt like I'd been stabbed. I quit drinking completely, but now I can't really eat! I haven't had an appetite for food since this happened, and I burp a lot and get nauseous. It has been three months and I've lost 30 pounds! I will never drink again, I'm sure of that, but I just want my body to give me a second chance!

Go to the doctor to get checked out since you're losing weight in addition to having stomach pain and indigestion. If your primary physician isn't sure what's going on and the problem persists, ask to be referred to a gastroenterologist.
