We've been together now for 2 years and almost a year ago now I stumbled upon some old emails in his inbox while cleaning it out from men and it was clear that he'd had sex with men before we got together. And it looked as though it wasn't just a one time thing he'd been doing so for 2 or 3 years. His last time was just two weeks before we had gone out. Well when I confronted him about it he said it was a drug induced thing he as ashamed of it and we were to never talk about. And then. A few weeks after I had confronted him I found out that he had contacted a man he had seen off and on for 2 years for sex just two days after he and I decide to make it official and be in a commuted relationship and he was denied by that man but continue for two weeks pursuing him every day asking then gave up. And to my knowledge he's not done that again just that one time. I'm concerned because he says he no longer thinks or wants that past life. Can that be true that he can just turn it off and he be completely in love and never has one thought about wanting sex with a man again

It's not at all likely he will just stop his homosexual tendencies. The fact he pursued the man means it was not just a 'one-off'. He has been doing it for 3 years, and he will do it again. If he is on drugs, he will not be able to control himself anyway.
What sort of sexual activity have you been engaged in with him? Beware of infections he might pass on to you. Do you take drugs? Are you comfortable with anal sex?
You confronted him, and he made an excuse. The he did it again behind your back. He cannot be trusted. I suggest you leave him immediately, and ignore his protestations apologies and empty promises.
