I had sex recently and don't want my mom to know, she knows I'm not a virgin, but I don't want to her to know that its been recently. Can they tell from a pelvic exam? if so can they tell how recent? and I am on birth control and he used a condom. Please help!

Yes, they can tell you've had sex but it depends upon how long ago it happened. Basically, when you have sex there can be some minor trauma (damage) to the tissues, maybe some cuts or scrapes, even bruising.
It all depends upon how rough your sex was. Obviously, you will heal in time and after a short period of time there is really no way to determine when it happened.
Your doctor should respect your privacy. It's called patient confidentiality. Unless there is some reason that they feel they need to share this with your mom it shouldn't be a concern.
