My friend’s son got Encephalitis. I was surprised because I didn’t hear anybody else who has this illness. I’m worried now. I know that it can be pretty dangerous but I’m not sure that I know how you can get it. Tell me, please, can Encephalitis be transmitted between humans?
Well, the cause of encephalitis is a viral infection. Mosquitoes are those that do transmission of encephalitis from small creatures, usually birds and rodents, to humans. Also some herpes viruses that cause common infections may also cause encephalitis. Viruses from the herpes group that can lead to encephalitis can be transmitted between humans.
