Hi.. I'm a model and I need help.xD I actually lost weight because of eating only fruits. and keeping the fruit calorie intake to 300-500. no more no less. But I found that unsustainable. So I started eating some protein and veggies. But I started gaining weight. then I depended on laxative teas. It helps me, but I hate drinking it because I hate the taste. but now I can eat a bit more.. i still keep my calorie intake between 800-1000 but I still take laxatives upto now, but then I found another alternative.. Laxative pills. I take dulcolax and it says in the box no more than 3 tablets a day but when I feel like it doesnt work I take more. there are even times I take both the tea and the tablets. I even take diuretic pills at times.. I mean I've read the comments above and a lot of people tell me it's not good too. but I can't seem to stop it. It's like I can't not depend on it.-_- please help.

i am like most teens my age and i really want to lose weight but nothing works .. i started making my self sick alot but i dont know if it made a diffrence all of my mates said i looked alot thinner , then i stopped beacuse my boyfriend found out and got really upset and cross about it but i have now started again i just want some one to be honest about it and not like a teacher or a perant but some genuin advice ....

hi u sound like you know what your talking about. I'm on the contraceptive injection Depo provera do you know if taking laxitives will still leave me covered as i know the pill can leave your system???????

millions of girls and women have eating disorders but we all keep it a big secret, me included. I am still in the path of recovery but there is this quote i go by everyday that gives me motivation and its "The pain of disciplin or the pain of regret...take your choice." And relating that to eating disorders is in the long run you WILL regret the eating habits you've created and it will destroy you from the inside out. The pain of disciplin is a lot less in the long run! What i mean by disciplin is being responsible and telling people who are close to you about your problem and creating a support system for yourself and also to seek therapy. Everyday you must wake up ready to fight for your life, to take back control (some of you may think youre in control but youre truly NOT!!!!).

I was never one to ask for help, i hid my disorder for years but on the verge of suicide i made a life changing decision to finally ask for help, i took a leap of faith and not only was God there to catch me so was my family and friends. Since then i have been battling and slowly gaining back me, the me that i have'nt seen in sooo long and who i miss terribly!So be strong and be disciplined!!! I know what a struggle every minute of everyday is but eating disorders can be overcome, with help.....get a strong support system and find yourself!

p.s THERE IS NO QUICK FIXXXX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It does work for all those that say it don't... I know for a fact cause I tried it 10years ago after birth of a child. When she was 18 months I started taking them and weighed over 200 lbs before and 4 months later I weighed 130 I didn't diet or exercise and do tell me that was all water weight plus on top of that I am not dependent on the laxatives in fact I go at least twice a day with no help have no other issues and haven't gained no more than 10 lbs back. My dr. Says I'm extremely healthy... But I'm not gone lye the pain is horriable and u have to go all the time don't recommend it but it can work

Hi, I'm Holly I am 20 years old with a daughter who is almost 2 years old. I have worked out, I have dieted, I have fasted and nothing ever seemed to work me lose my baby weight. It's embarrassing to see my friends who have kids younger than mine but the moms have lost every bit of their baby weight. I feel like a big fat blob no matter what I do. Not only do I still weigh more than I did when I first got pregnant but I have this belly fat sag from where I had a c-section and my daughter was so big she stretched my stomach all to hell. I don't mind my stretch marks because they have slightly faded but the belly sag is what upsets me. I feel uncomfortable with myself and I feel like I need to wear big clothing all the time because I am ashamed of myself. I took laxative pills one day and I did in fact c**p my guts out but over the next couple of days I lost about 2 pounds and since I have been taking them and controlling what I eat I have lost about 5 pounds in less than like 2 weeks. I have yet to experience any of those horrible symptoms some of you speak of. For the first time I feel a little better about myself, even if I don't look my hottest still. Now here is where I differ...the box says "take 2 pills once or twice daily" and that's what I do...I take 2 pills at a time and I only take 4 pills a day sometimes I only take the 2 so I am not necessarily "abusing" them but it is definately something I have not tried before. I drink a TON of water a day anyways so I don't worry about dehydrating but reading up on long term affects of laxatives sort of scares me however I don't want to gain weight back. I am finally feeling a little better about myself and I'd hate to start feeling like poop again =/

i live in australia and though 20lbs in a month is a little harsh i lost 13kgs which is over that in 4 months... i used portion controlled meals from the supermarket.
Also for those interested in the hospitals to help people lose weight they put them on 4 opti-slim a day.
hope this gives you less drastic options :)

Hey you guys, Im just writing to give my input on laxatives. please do not do them. I too am addicted at the moment and it is the worst thing I have ever done.. they worked really well at first but now I noticed that I have gained weight and I AM STILL using them. please do not do this. after reading all of these posts, Im going to really try and stop. Trust me, I know all of the pressures. I am oursuing a career of musical theatre and it is awful not being as tiny as all of the other girls. I am curvy, and I will never be a stick. I am ccurrently taking hot yoga classes every day and dieting on seattle sutton. Please listen to me!

I do understand what you are going thru, I have been you. Please dont do anything you will regret such as laxatives or at least if you do go that route do it the natural way of eating prunes. I used to be really overweight and try a ton of things I have tried prunes and lost a couple extra pounds that were stored in my digestive however this is simply a quick fix. Anything worth doing is going to be hard work so if you are serious be prepared to go to the gym 4-5 days a week cut out sweets and you will be suprised how much you lose from cutting out refined sugar. drink plenty water i drink about 10-12 cups a day and most of all love your body as it is at every stage people dont do this usually until they are face with a true life challenge I am glad I realized before. One more thing how I lost most my weight was not eating anything packaged only fresh foods, fruits, veggies.

Well, I've been reading the other replies but...honestly...I was on Alli and for me...that worked. I took it for not even a full month and dropped 15lbs WITHOUT working out. You HAVE to be able to control what you eat though because if you take in more than 15g of fat then you MAY have some treatment effects. I love those pills though. I started eating whatever I want and said forget the effects lol. and...i am am not taking them like im supposed to but my weight goes up and down but I NEVER gain that 15lbs back I weighed 240lbs and now im 225 some mornings im 220 and others im 225 lol. but...your also not supposed to weigh yourself every morning! oops! so...yeah, if anything i say go with Alli...its safe and works. Its worth the money honestly! Imma buy a bottle and start it again this up coming month! starter pack (at Wal Mart) is $30 something plus tax and the refills are $60 something plus tax...

I've just started using laxatives. Only when I've over eaten or am going out to dinner. The reason for this is that I have given up bread, pasta, potato and sugar. I do two hours of excersise on week days and one on the weekend, I vary my workouts, so my body doesn't get used to it, I walk at least 20 miles, mountains or hills, every other weekend. I have been doing this for over 3 months. I keep my calorie count at 1200 and last time I got on the scale I found I had put on weight. I'm starting to get desperate surely i shouldn't be overweight. I just don't understandand it seems that that is the only option. Any ideas?

Well...I only started trying to lose weight yesterday but I measured myself and made a video...i put it on youtube if any of you want to do the weight loss journey with me...its under My weight loss journey by cierrawalden on youtube!! right now I have been working out for 30 minutes twice a day and eating less although yesterday i did stuff my face with pizza lol. Im going to eat less now though...I also started taking HydroxyCut but i really dont know if thats going to work...Alli worked well with me but I dont have the money to get anymore so...after this im gonna have to just workout workout workout!!! Wish me luck and PLEASE subscribe and encourage me...I need it.
