hi I am 17 and I am thinking of trying laxatives to lose weight. I know that it is a bad way to lose weight but I feel there is no other choic:-|

i have done the juice diet and it awsome. i have lost 38kg in bout 7 months and da only way to do it is hard work and diet. i go to the gym with personal trainer 2 times a week, ride my bike for bout 10 km nearly every day and go for a 45 min walk twice a week and i was on a juice diet it great i love it i have 3 juices a day then dinner but slowly do it dont just jump in and just drink juice. start by having replacing lunch with juice then breaky then add another juice in for afternoon snack then white meat and veg or dinner. ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed***

Hi there little girl. I do have advice to help you.
Try a raw food diet. Google it. Try it for 30 days to clean your cells. You are not fat you are swollen with toxins. If you feel hungry cheat with lean proteins like chicken breasts, baked tilapia or hard boiled eggs with out yolks. You can have fresh olive oils and canola oil in your salads use Unpasteurized Apple Cider Vinegar and seasonings. Kroger carries it, along with Raw cheeses. God bless you don't have to starve.

DONT EAT GRAINS

avoid sh*t like rice pasta and bread. No nutrition! not protein! just starch that turns into sugar that turns into fat. stick with veggies and free range organic meat all in small portions.

prella, i am in the same situation as you. I hate the way i look from head to toe. I also desire to loose at least ten lbs in two weeks... I so far have lost 3lbs in two days and have used this diet before. i admit this is not a healthy way of loosing weight by any means. the truth to drastic weight loss is you have to eat dramatically less. OBVIOUSLY>>> i limit myself to no more than 300 calories a day. I wake up in the morning and weigh myself and then keep a running, written log of my weight. I also in the log write exactly what i ate that day under my written weight. there a million ways to keep your mind off food and i have found pro-ana websites with helpful ideas. I also drink LOTS of water and this profoundly helps with hunger control. I know laxatives suck and cause cramping, diarrhea, etc... however I AM DETERMINED to loose the ten lbs... Since i drink so much water i was afraid i was actually gaining water weight and thus the reason i started laxatives. Don't over do it on the laxatives and continue to drink water as laxatives use a mechanism that dehydrates you. laxatives don't burn calories as is the misconception but they do take the extra water weight off. GOOD LUCK and if you are determined then block out the BS people tell you and realize nothing feels as good as being thing, even if this is controversial. <3

I am happy the way I am, so I never needed a diet. But i did however learn about diet in health class and gym.

first of all keep in mind that you get one body only, and you must keep your body healthy by diet and exercise, Make sure you astabilize a good and healthy diet, which means no eating disorders such as Anorexia, Bulimia nor Binge. if I were you i'd research more about diets. note... some diets appear to be healthy but are not really healthy, an example of it would be the Hollywood diet. second make sure you achieve a safe, healthy exercise plan. for example, run or jog atleast twice a week for __minutes---> this doesn't mean your done, after you ran you want to do more exercise after you warm up, like situps, pushups, crunches, and other stretches. in addition to working out, don't do the same thing over and over, instead do CV (cardio vascular) stuff one day and Weight lifts another day.

Lexitives may help loosing weight for a SHORT time, since you eat the same and it's hard to loose weight using lexitives.

Lexitives are intended to help more in costipation, than in weight loss. But if you chose to use lexitives, DO NOT O.D (over dose) nor over use them, it can make you sick,(never tried it but I Learned in health) but trust me, even though i'm not a doctor or any other type of medical proffesion. i'm just sharing the info i learned. any other questions, comments, conserns, threats, leave me a messege.

Changing your diet to fruits and veggies and excluding breads, pastas, potatoes, and even rice. They make you bloated and gain weight. When I stopped with carbs I lost 3lbs. I'm 5'2 and I was 140lbs which is way too much for our height. Also, exercise but you dont need to over do it, the rule I follow is 80% diet and 20% exercise. Hope this helps, also keeping a positive attitude goes a long way!

I am a laxative user and it works for me.  I use them only once or twice per week.  I usually just drink the saline laxative.  But besides this, i eat smaller portions of food, not necessarily healthy food.  I also do jujitsu twice a week.  This regimen really help me lose weight.  I lost all of the baby weight in just a few months.  I wouldnt say not to use the laxative but you must lose them in moderation.  And i agree, when i do use it regularly (more than twice a week), my body depends on it. Do whats BEST for you.

I have thought about trying laxatives, but have not after reading this! But give the girl a break she is like any other normal teenage gi, trying to be skinny for everybody else or for herself! Lay off!

You just helped me so much more than you will know, I have been ddoing the laxative diet, and I do not have any of the symptoms yet but I am stopping today and throwing all the laxatives away, I eat about 400 calories a day and work out, I know thats bad I need to stop, iM NOT EVEN FAT i actually am happy with myself i feel beautiful I get called barbie and told im very pretty by girls my age my problem is im scared to get fat in the furure and s im doing this now so i stay the size i am

Hey, girl ..you are beautiful!!!! You are 16 !!!! dont try to look like the others on the tv and magazines - simple ..they are NOT REAL! Just add to your agenda to exercise 3 times weekly and portion control- small bites and snacks....you will see the result immediately.

I'm 14, 5'1, and 75 pounds. Don't beat yourself up about it, your beautiful the way you are. I am currently recovering from anorexia and trust me, being skinny doesnt make you happy. It's okay to lose a bit of weight but don't obsess about it, other things matter more.
