Can lower back pain cause a COPD attack
Hello, guest.
Per my knowledge lower back pain and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) are two separate conditions and there is no direct link between them.
Lower back pain is usually caused by issues related to the musculoskeletal system, such as strained muscles, herniated discs, or osteoarthritis. COPD, on the other hand, is a chronic lung disease that causes airflow obstruction, making it difficult to breathe.
It is unlikely that lower back pain can directly cause a COPD attack. However, it is possible that the pain and discomfort caused by lower back pain can trigger stress and anxiety, which in turn can exacerbate COPD symptoms and lead to an attack. Additionally, certain medications used to treat lower back pain, such as opioids, can also suppress breathing and worsen COPD symptoms.
Have you figured out what was it in your case?
