My younger sister who is 23yrs old asked me for advice on what to do. She said her last period was Jan. 14th, and didn't last as long as it normally does. She has took couple hpt and comes back negative. She even went to PPH and did a urin test came back negative. She said the doctor didn't listen to her and told her she has PMS. Her breast has inlarged, her stomach is firm to the touch and looks round. having cramps sides of her stomach. She saids she has to go to the bathroom alot and her appatite has increased and feels easily tired. She is not sure what is going on. Is it typical to have phyiscal symptoms show up so early and have the test show up negative? %-) ?
I think my sister took the pregancy test to soon and should have waited until after her missed period to take one. Physically she looks pregnant, but I think its too soon to show phyisical symptoms. I told my sister to set up an appointment with another doctor end of this month and have a blood test done. Hopefully she can get a clear answer to what is going on.

IF she was pregnant on January 14th, then a pregnacy test WOULD have been positive THAT DAY.
The reason is because a pregnancy test is ACCURATE the day your period is due, which would technically be a 'missed' period if you were pregnant..Do you follow me??

NOW THIS IS february! She could be pregnant THIS Month, but not last month.

she should get a blood test done to find out. One of my friends tooks 4 pregnancy test, and had a blood test done and they all came out negative and she was actually pregnant and didnt find out til her 4th month. this is not the only person that in know this happend too. ur sister knows her body betta than anyone and every pregnancy isnt the same. PPH gives blood test, i dont know if they all cost the same but the one where i live is $50. good luck!!!

I think she should go and get a blood test done as well. I took 3 at home pregnancy tests... followed the directions exactly as they stated and they were all negative. Then I went to the doctor to find out what was wrong with me and they tested me... I was pregnant by 6 weeks! Some women just don't have enough of the HCG hormone in their body yet for a test to come back positive even for a doctor's test. My sister was different, she found out almost as soon as she started having symptoms and took the test under all the wrong conditions and it still came back positive.

my last pregnancy 4 years ago , i had all symptoms of pregs , all tests at home and hospital came back negative ,i had terrible stomach cramps to , no1 new y , i only have two periods a year , test results didnt come up till i was 6 wks pregnant ,doctors thought that was well strange , and the only way i new i was prenant was the cramping got worse , and i started to bleed , doctors did test baby was fine , and turned out i was pregnant , same thing is happening again , but doctors told me pain is due to water infection does any one no if this is true or not , as pain is on knicker line just lkie pain wen preg 1st time , but then i had spd , pelvic pain
