I have been taking BC for 7 months. Right now, I am supposed to begin my week without taking the pill in 4 days. But my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex just last night. I know that sperm can last up to five days or so in the vagina, and I've been desperate to find out if I will be risking pregnancy when I stop taking the pill in 4 days because the sperm might still be there. If I AM risking pregnancy, should I piggyback on my pills and just start a new pack to wait one more month to get my period to avoid pregnancy? I just want to know if I'm safe, if the pills are still working against pregnancy even when I stop taking them and I possibly still have his sperm.
