I am diagnosed with Grave's disease. Doctor gave me my therapy, and I am taking it regularly. When I was at my last check, I asked the doctor to explain to me what is really happening to me. I have never been sick in my life. I hate both, the doctors and the hospitals. However, my doctor told me that I have problem with Thyrotropin receptor antibody. Can you tell something about it?
You are actually suffering from tyrotoxicosis of Grave's disease. In your disease for some reason (not known) organism is making antibodies against thyrotropin receptor. Thyrotropin is hormone that is made by pituitary gland. And the receptor for this hormone is on thyroid gland. Your thyroid gland does not know what to do unless thyrotropin reaches his receptor and "tell" it to the gland. But it is not possible because instead of hormone antibody is already taking place.
