I am 28 years-old and I am always sick. I constantly have vaginal yeast and bacterial infections. They seem to travel up my system to then infect my throat etc. I had my tonisls out half a year ago, but I'm still always sick. I'm always extremely tired and sometimes get brain fog. Also, my bowel movements are really irregular. Sometimes it's once a day, but usually it's every three or four days. Just recently, I started getting episodes of sweating, when I'm usually always cold. Also, I get really bad headaches and my scalp gets sore in one area. You know how your hair is up and it feels sore when you take it down? Well, my scalp feels sore all the time. A friend told me I may have candida albicans. Any ideas/feedback? I am tired of going to the doctor, getting antibiotics, feeling better for the 10 days on the pills, then I feel sick again. I feel like my doctor thinks I'm crazy, but I know something is not right. Please help!!!!!
My daughter was on antibiotics for over a year for chronic acne and developed many of the same symptoms as you. Because antibiotics kill the "good" bacteria in the intestine doctors should be advising patients to take a probiotic every time they take antibiotics and for at least 2 weeks afterward. (Doctors Please listen) The candida infection can become so severe you develop a "leaky gut" syndrome whereby the candida and it's toxic by-products get into your bloodstream via the intestines. This causes the body's immune system to be overtaxed and thus you get sick more often, or basically all the time. You need to stay off sugar and white flour, eat lots of fresh vegetables and a few fruits like granny smith apples and grapefruit, and above all take probiotics and eat yogurt religiously. I hope you already found this answer since it's been over a year since your post. The candida feeds on simple carbs and can make you crave pasta, bread, sweets and alcohol, the very foods you need to stay away from!
