Is it possible that Cavernous hemangiomas are mistaken for fresh, sharply demarcated brain hemorrhages? I read about the case where this happened. I am very worried about my good friend, it seems that they discovered Cavernous hemangiomas somewhere around here thalamus. What will happen with her? Is there anyone who has cavernous hemangiomas?

Well, if there is a doubt then such cavernous hemangiomas may be missed easily on histological examination. The blood clot must be examined by a trichrome or reticulin stain. This will demonstrate the cavernous malformation. I was born with both, cavernous angiomas and hemangiomas, in my cheek and eye. Those were removed, but I had bed headaches most of my life. I had my first bleed in 98 then they found that I have the little beauties in my brain stem and cortex and thalamus too.
