I haven't changed diet, I don't take any drugs and quit drinking 3 years ago but lately my urine has heavy smell of WD40 or engine cleaner. Could it be kidney or liver damage?
Well, you said you haven't changed your diet, but you didn't say what your diet consist of. It could be something you don't eat regularly that could affect the smell of urine. As to smelling like WD-40, well, WD-40 has a pleasant, sweetish smell to me. It may smell completely different to you. If it occurs only occasionally I would say it is diet related. If it occurs all the time I would consider pursuing finding the cause.
Do you consume a great deal of alcohol or caffeine? Also, what is your water intake like? I would agree with TheGeeze in that it is most likely diet related, due in part because it only happens occasionally.
By keeping a log of your diet and the foods you take in, you may be able to rule what is going on with your system and what is causing it. If you are an alcohol user, and never drink a stitch of water, your answer might be as simple as that.
As always, if symptoms persist, you should make an appointment with your doctor and have things checked out.
