MB is SIN! And it's not a normal thing. Our nature is sinful so when you say it's natural thing, you can look it as a sin. God is not against sex, but He leave that for marriage ! Paul says in Colossians 3:5-7 that we need to put to death every sexual immorality ( any kind of it including MB), impurity, lust, evil desires! We can live by our flesh nature, Paul clearly says in Galatians (5:16-18) that our body is against the Spirit and Spirit is against the body! Our bodies are member of Christ and a temple of the Holy Spirit! (see 1. Corinthians 6:12-20). We our not on our own!

OK! Igy you have your beliefs and obviously have NEVER sinned of the flesh! BUT In Colossian 3:5-7 it does NOT say ...(any kind of it including MB) NOWHERE in the bible does it mention self touching! It mentions wanting others, IMPURITY, EVIL DESIRES - which include Rape, Sodomy, Adultery, Molestation, Pedophilia, Beastiality etc etc etc. The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah - (thus the word Sodomy) was FILLED with people who were greedy, and much debauchery and violations of the flesh happened in both cities!

Colossians 3:5-7 - 5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.
The way to look about the above passage is this, did they use incorrect grammar!? Was it supposed to read "Put do death EXCEPT FOR - WHATEVER BELONGS TO YOUR EARTHLY NATURE: ........ I think this makes FAR more sense than putting to death ALL of your earthly nature!!! - because that would include eating, sleeping, etc! The bible always has been and always will be followed and understood by the people that read it! Thus THOUSANDS of people debating the validity of each passage!

Babies touch themselves in the womb, ALL mammals touch themselves - it is an inate natural act! Nature already follows the 7 deadly sins, and when MAN removes themselves from those "laws" this begets SIN!

So anyways, we could go on and on and on about what we all believe about the quotes of the bible and this debate will continue - as it has done - for another 2 thousand years and more! BUT placing the idea of the wrath of God against a natural teenage boy's normal bodily funcition, has never and will never be mentioned in those religious arguments! Except on here of course!

Well it might doesn't says about touching yourself , but while we're doing that aren't we pleasing ourselves, isn't that selfish? And being selfish is sin?! And if we're addicted to it, aren't we thinking just how to please ourselves? When I said "every kind..+ MB" it doesn't says in Bible about that, but for me it's kind of logical that any kind of Sex immorality is sin. While you masturbate it's not true that you don't think on something that turn you on. I've been through it. That's lust then, please show me if I made a mistake! Paul says in Romans 8 chp. (1-14) and in 8v. says " Those whose lives are in the flesh are unable to please God". Flesh has its natural lust to be pleased, and masturbation is one of them. Don't you think so? That is why its written that flesh is against the Spirit and Spirit is against the flesh. Galatians 5:16-18

I understand your side Igy I do! BUT re read that passage from Romans 8, if you think about it what the heck does it mean? Does it mean that ANYTHING to do with the flesh is against the spirit? that doesn't make sense - as there is "multiplying" and also there is touching, holding, etc - as did Jesus and ALL the Apostles! So many people think about and argue about what the words REALLY mean! And in what context? Is the Spirit in mention of the Lord and Saviour, OR is it about the Spirit of self!? You see to me I read that and I look at as this - Flesh being against the "self spirit" as in being raped, sodomized, molested etc? What I learned is that Jesus placed his hand on MANY! So it can't be touching can it? You see the complexity of it and how it is changed with just one word or ommitting a word! And also who is in power! If you read about the sins, you will notice that it was changed and some put in and some taken out - depending on who was in power at the time! Also if you read the sentence "Those whose lives are in the flesh are unable to please God" I see this as "Those who make a living with their flesh are against God" as in prostitutes etc! Which 2010 years ago were RAMPANT! The world was in chaos, MAJOR sins were committed against the weak, the young, the elderly, animals, property etc. So of course God would punish ALL of these TRUE SINNERS! Can you imagine the depravity at that time!? Also masturbation wasn't even talked about till in the last 50 or so years! So no where is it mentioned! BECAUSE if it was, it would have DEFINITELY been a sin, correct? Some of the Bible doesn't make sense to me - as I'm sure it is hard for ALL people to understand! Because I look at it differently, I look at it from apoint of view as a "natural" or "unatrual" act!

In Nature - the only animal that is greedy (without consequence) is a human! The only animal that has sex with others (without fear of being killed for it) is a human, The only animal that steals - without being killed by the others - is a human etc etc etc! Other animals don't rape, they try to covet thy neighbours wife - if they don't value their lives, they don't eat more than they need, they don't do anything without the ultimate response from others in their packs, prides, groups, etc. So thus my reasoning about masturbation - ALL animals do it PERIOD! And it is NOT mentioned at ALL in the Bible! It doesn't say anything like "Pleasuring thy own flesh" And IF it was a sin, or an act against the spirit, it would be DEFINITELY mentioned SOMEWHERE in those THOUSANDS of words, chapters, stories etc!

Well ok! This page is named " those who want to stop to masturbate" so if you don't want to, I am glad to had a chance to talk to you =) But if masturbation is sin and I do don't do it, I am not guilty and you are, and if masturbation is not sin then I am not guilty as well as well as you're not guilty =) So it's on you! But i think that you should stop write that is ok to MB on page where people are fighting to stop to do it! There is a good reason ( u guess ) why they want to stop it! God bless you! C` ya!

I asked my friend - who is a seminarian - about the masturbation and he too stated that "No where does it mention that maturbation is a sin! hi! I struggle with the same thing, and I don't know what these other people are saying/ i haven't read the comments, but i know i feel guilty about it also after i do it. If we feel guilty, it can't be natural despite what these other people are saying. The bible says that lust is a sin and that the urge to masturbate is lust therefore masturbation is a sin. It doesn't bring us closer to God either, so it could also be a sin in that sense. Heres a website that i found really helpful and reassuring:
Remember that no matter what you do, God still loves you and he doesn't like it when you feel guilty. Bring your concerns to Him and don't be afraid to tell him everything that is happening. Dear guest! You feel guilt because of the teachings or conflicting information that you have heard! Masturbation happens in the womb? Babies do it, toddlers do it! There is NO LUST! The lust part comes later for extra stimulation - LUST was thought to meant, lusting after someone elses property - virtually all of the sins are wrapped around the base of GREED! - And depravity! Looking at a beautiful woman and feeling an urge - perhaps is LUST, but what I have been taught, and what I have read, I believe it is more about the immorality of some - rape, pedophillia, molestation, etc etc etc. 2000 years ago these "SINS" were rampant! And there had to be LAWS that were brought in!

Babies in the womb, babies, toddlers, children under 10 - DONT have LUST! They aren't thinking about naked people etc, they are just touching themselves as it is a natural instinct! ALL Mammals touch themselves - so how can you define that? It CANT be lust - it is just a natural thing! Just like when a young boy has a "wet dream" they don't have a CLUE what is going on and are mortified!!! And society CANT come down on young people or they will grow up with SUCH guilt! It is a NATURAL bodily instinct! Thus small children grabbing their privates when they are overly excited, it is ALL from the brain - as is breathing, blinking, swallowing, etc!

We as a society add ALL the rest that can be dirty and sinful! BUT the bases of masturbation at its lowest common denominator is NOT a sin! Only when you add other things to it!

There is NOT a mammal on this earth that has NOT touched him/herself at one point in their development! NEVER! it is impossible! It is just how family, society, religious leaders deal with it, makes that person feel quilty and feel VERY bad after! As you stated you feel guilty AFTER you do it! That's not natural - you were MADE to feel quilty thats all! And also you have continued to do it, so you can't help it! There is a biological reason for that! IF it was a choice and you had COMPLETE control, then it would be a mute point, RIGHT? So keep your mind open, and don't be so hard on yourself OK? God Bless!

Hello guest =) Well, as best way is to walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh, for the flesh desire what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit desire against the flesh. ( read Galatians ch. 5 its it could help you! ) And watch of those false teachers 2. Peter 2:1-3 ! Pray and read bible daily! Draw near to God and He'll draw near to you!
