Christian teen who wants to stop masturbating!

Soccerfan9, i know your post is 2  years old but it seems that me and you seem to be living the same life. I'm a 15 year old guy and i'm not bad at soccer ect. ect. and i'm having the same problem as you. Nothing feels right about MB, and that feeling we both get after doing it is called guilt and guilt is caused by doing something that you know that god would not approve of. In the bible it mentions sins against the body and i feel that MB is one of those sins. We've got to ignore what others on here say about how if god didnt want you to do it then why would he tempt you. God isnt tempting you, temptations are caused by the devil and are a test to god to see if you're willing to follow his (gods) beliefs or the devils, this is why we both have such a bad feeling about MB. But if any truely religious person is willing to post any real advice on how to stop then please do so, so that myself and Soccerfan9 may become closer to our god. Thanks.

@SoccerGuy15 I'll reiterate the advice I gave a few weeks ago: Tell someone in real life. I know just how tough it is to admit to sin, but we are commanded to do so, and it WILL get you on the road to recovery. Also, try not to be alone. You can hardly touch yourself in a room full of people, so... Also, try to keep really busy, so that you don't have the time. If you do manage to be alone and bored, and your thoughts wander to sex, try to change your thought pattern as soon as possible. The longer you let it go on, the harder it will be to stop. Grab a Bible, and start reading it, and praying to God to keep you from this sin. You likely will relapse a few times on your road to recovery, but don't lose faith. If you truly want to be free of a sin, and you ask God to free you, you will be freed. I am sending

why do you insist that masturbation isn't sin? 

Doesn't it take you to lust first in order to masturbate? Something that will arouse you (which is DEFINITELY lust related) in order for you to reach that point? 

It CLEARLY says here in 1 John 2:16-17
 16 "For all that is in the world-the LUST OF THE FLESH, the LUST OF THE EYES, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world." 17 "And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever." 

Therefore, MASTURBATION IS A SIN. 
Be watchful in your prayers for Jesus is coming soon! Keep praying and praying to God to help you overcome these worldy lusts, because with God, everything is possible! IF, you are truly sincere with your prayers and start on with a new life. And it's OBVIOUSLY sin, because you feel that guilt right after you've done it. Tell me, why would you feel guilty if you'd do such thing? Even if you don't have the full knowledge about these, but DEEP DOWN in you, there's that small bit of living Holy Spirit ringing you that it is sin... REPENT!

If you are being tempted by this, immediately pray or do something ASAP in order to overcome it. Run, or etc. Of course, as we all know, we are being tempted of masturbation and lust of any kind when we're by ourselves, so when that happens, get out of your room and go out in your backyard, don't let this get to you! GOD IS WATCHING.

Don't forget, masturbation is sin.

hi soccer fan, i appreciate your honesty. i used to masturbate a lot more than i do now, but i learnt to control it and not let it take over in my life. when i don't masturbate regularly i start to feel my hormones going crazy and then know it's time to relieve my desires or sexuall drive. philip.

Masturbation is a great sin! We become a slave of our EGOs! And gradually we forget about God Almighty entirely plunging into this elusive and temporary "pleasure". Truly,there is no pleasure for human being but to pursue for his Creators' Love and obey his unique and universal for EVERYONE, every soul ORDER. Ephesians 6: 11-17!!! I can't stress it enough! It is THE ANSWER. Best to read it with an NIV bible. It says to put on a full suit of armour so you can stand against the devil when he brings the battle. Here's the list of the spiritual weapons:
Belt - Truth
Breastplate - Righteousness
Feet Fitted- Gospel of Peace
Shield - Faith
Helmet - Salvation
Sword - Word of God, Prayer, Spirit
Think about this armour. You have the breastplate, shield, and helmet that all protect you. (Righteousness, Faith, Salvation). Your feet fitted will keep you so you cannot be moved. The belt (Truth) keeps it all held together. The sword is your biggest weapon against the devil. Use all these and you WILL win the war. It will still be tough but you must work through it! I am only 15 and still struggeling, but I am so glad and fell blessed that I am one of the few who really know how to stop this addiction. Hope it helps and I'll be praying for you!

Exercise before bed or take a bath. If its during the day do something to keep yourself busy, learn guitar, go for a walk or even play soccer for example! This forum has helped me also. Thanks guys!

Dude, quit. It's not good for you. You are setting your standard of sexuall attraction to whatever you masturbate to. Also, masturbation IS list. You are having sex with your HAND. You are mentally raping whatever you masturbate to. Masturbation may be natural to mammals, but that is because sin entered this world and corrupted things. It is NOT the way God meant it to be. Sex should be the loving union between a married man and their spouse, a woman, and vice versa for all the feminists out there. What bambi27 calls natural is only natural to SIN NATURE. God didn't give you those urges, sin nature did. If everything had gone as God planned, we wouldn't even deal with this (before the fall, Adam and Eve didn't). My advice: stay active in your waking hours, get CovenantEyes on all electronic devices, and if you are tempted, do push-ups until you cannot push yourself an inch higher, then sit-ups until you literally can't do another one, then squats, then pull-ups. If you had as many problems as I did, you're going to be in great shape soon.

Hey Christianity is not a religion it's a lifestyle. You need to look masturbation up. It is like one man sex and God says in the Bible that sex is the treat of marriage not to be taken advantage of before then. It is wrong but hey your human so am I we all make mistakes. In the bible there is a verse that addresses masturbation. I cannot remember it off the top of my head, but basically Jesus said if you have to, go ahead. But remember that it is a dirty act. Hello! To my opinion and those of many other christians, masturbation is a serious sin to God! Esp if you are addictive to it!

God loves you! Always remember that when you're masturbating, you're asking all heavenly creatures ,like angels, to stop doing what they are supposed to, and watch what you are doing! Also masturbating will block your understanding at school, therefore you'll not be able to have very good results!

Ask for forgiveness to God and ask him also for a total disgust for this!
