I have had cronic pancreatitis since i was 23, and Im now 32, im had 9 ercp to fix it, and have feeding tube in and on 3 narcotic pain meds, my oldest is almost 14 and my youngest is 10. My fiance is 32 and doesnt have any kids, he wants kids very bad, and has waited until he found the right person to have them with which is me. I do have tubal and plan on getting it reversed which will cost my fiance 5,000 dollers, he wants me to have the surgery right after our wedding in august. I let my ercp np know about my plans and she said well u got 2 kids, it isnt like u dont have any, and i told her that my fiance has waited untill he found the right women to have kids with and he wants them bad, she said she would back me up, just let her know when i plan on doing it, i am already being wheened of some of these pain meds, i dont use my feeding tube, but its like when out i have more problems, but its in, and i dont use it, and im fine. But i reading these comments on here, and im scared, I lost a set of twin boys at 5months, due to group strep b, and my middlest child died at 4 from heart problems, which came from my kids dads side of the family.  I so despertaly want to give my soon be husband children.  I guess its a risk i would take, i would be in pain if that wat it takes to give him at least one, he plans on being hands on father, getting up in the middle night and doing everything, i dont want to  take things like that, that he looking forward too.

I have had pancreatitis since I was 10 yrs old I spent weeks at a time in the hospital until I reached my teens and the attacks stopped, until I became pregnant with my first child. My pregnancy was normal/smooth until I reached my third trimester and the pancreatitis came back I spent 2 months off and on in the hospital and had to have my gallbladder removed while I was still pregnant. My daughter had to be delivered at 37 weeks by emergency c-section because the meds I was on began to effect her. She is healthy now thank goodness. I am now 19 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and just got out the hospital this week from the first pancreatitis attack with this pregnancy. I pray that this will be the last but judging by my last pregnancy I still have a long road ahead.

I have had chronic pancreastis from 23 on now 33. I've had three children by the time of 22. Every bit of my kids dad for 9 years we decide to have my tubes tied we will be together from 15 to 24. Whenever split up but things happen. We I lost a set of twin boys when I was 5 months pregnant before my oldest was born. Are middle child was born with heart effects and passed away at 4. After my daughter was born we decide to have my tubes tied. That's before our son had passed away. We have not been together in 9 years. I I have a great guy whose mom had chronic pancreastitis as well and feeding tube as well. We The plan in November to get my tubes untied..Dr Levin in Kentucky is like the best. My Concerns is pain medicine I'm on. I know we'll have to be on some kind of a pain medicine . I know they have safe pain medicine to use during pregnancy. Since I was 18 years old my whole life has revolved around taking care of my kids my family and my man. cleaning and cooking from scratch. And having babies. I'm happy to have been with my kids and my family in cooking and cleaning. I guess I was born with my pancreasstic ductd that's close did not show up till.I was 23 My main concern is pain medicine that I take. I know there is a stain medicine you can take while you're pregnant for pain. What any ones experience or thoughts on pain meds. I would. While pregnant tried not to take it I understand sometimes I can make the pain worse why you're pregnant

Does anybody have issues with pancreatitis and pregnancy? I was diagnosed with it about 3 years ago and I am now 5 weeks pregnant. I was wondering if there are special care or tests needed during pregnancy?

Has anyone had a distal pancreatectomy & splenectomy? I am scared that I'm pregnant and worried about the risks after having my surgery. I had pancreatic cancer and now I'm in remission. Does anyone know if there are higher risks or mortality rates associated with having 1/2 of a pancreas.  Thank you.
