Anyone knows if it is safe to go through am IVF with chronic pancreatitis? My hubby and I have fertility issues (low ovarian reserve), but I am scared to what the hormone therapy might do to my symptoms/condition.

Hi I'm 20 years old and also born with pancreatitis. From what I've read, it seems like it just flares up the pancreas and causes some pain. I know that since you were born with it, the baby would have it also.

I have had chronic pancreatitis now for almost 19 years. I am 39 years old. I've been trying to get pregnant for the last 13 years. And I just found out that I'm PREGNANT.... I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I'm in the hospital because my pancreas flared up and made my sugar dangerously high. Now I have to see all kinds of doctors. So far my baby is doing good. My OB doctor isn't going to let me go full term. I'm hoping and praying for a very happy ending.

After I had my daughter 19 years ago, I got pancreatitis 4 months afterwards. The doctors told me that my baby caused me to get it by pushing her out. She was 8 lbs. 10ozs. While pushing I ended up pushing stones into my pancreas...

Hi, I've read all the posts and just got upset, I am 27 diagnosed with pancreatitis 17 years ago, since then I had about 6 ercp during which I had kind of tube to let my my digestive liquids flow.
I plan to have a baby next year, I asked my doctor and he told me of course I have a right, so I should try, he did not tell me that there is high rist of misscarriage, so could you please tell me if pancreatitis itself influenced on your pancreatitis, or were there any other reasons? I know if you have autoimmunological pancreatitis, there is a chance that the body will try to fight with the baby, but I did not find any information about pancreatitis itself as a reason of losing baby.
Please let me know,
I keep my fingers crossed for all of you!

Hello,
I'm 28 and I suffer from pancreatitis for 18 years now, I decided to have a baby, I got pregnant 2 months later, but I miscarriaged in 5th week of pregnancy. Do yoi have any advise? Does pancratitis mean problems during pregnancy? I am very afraid of trying now, I cannot imagine how it hurts to lose a baby in e.g. 20 weeks... I know it doesn't have to happen again, but I still think about it now.
I also have positive ana antibodies, I know they may be the reason why my body did not want to keep the baby, but I will be really glad if you can share your stories about positive endings in such cases.

I’ve read a great majority of all your stories and I’m very sorry for many of you but I myself haven’t been able to conceive. I have acute pancreatitis and my fiancé and I have been trying for 9 years. Ive checked with many doctors and now more than ever every month and all they do is take blood. I’m not happy with the doctors. My husband is a physical therapist and it’s not his field to know about pregnancy but he does disagree with my last three doctors opinions. I’m an independent woman run my own business but I don’t want to lose him over not being able to have a child. I feel we’re getting there but most important! Me, only myself would love a child. How bad is pancreas?

sorry recently married. My new recent doctor at Kaiser said I’m fine but how? He doesn’t think I have pancreatitis when I actually was hospitalized a year ago. I had X-ray, ultrasound, all types of tests for a week in the hospital I couldn’t move or sleep and I rarely can sleep now maybe 4 hours tops because pain and I cannot have any pain medication. So it’s sad I feel I’ll lose my husband and maybe it’s a lie that I can still have children of my own.
