I've been having yeast infections since high school, but have been getting them a LOT more frequently since i was on Depo. I discontinued its use a couple of months ago. In the past 2 months, i've pretty much had one the whole time with maybe a week without one. I have taken Diflucan twice and Monistat 3 times now and it doesn't seem to clear it up. I went to the doctor here and told them this but because of where i am right now, there is no gyno and they just keep telling me it's normal to have them this much and keep administering the pill. Is this normal for someone who was on Depo to have them this much? Could there e a bigger problem?
I would suggest you get checked by a reputable practitioner in Alternative medicine, natrotherapy, complementary medicine or homeopathic medicine. traditional doctors are limited in their knowledge and treatment of yeast conditions. good luck

I agree with Kizzy, you need to see someone in alternative medecine because it sounds like you have candida.
To get rid of this over-abundance of the yeast everybdoy has (but some have more of), you have to quit eating sugar and yeast. Both feed the candida population.
You'll notice a difference after one week, maybe two but for sure you'll notice a difference.
Do a search on candida and you'll find a bunch of symptoms I bet you also have.
good luck and I hope you find relief soon!

I have spent many years with chronic candida infections. It started with the pill, taking antibiotics indiscriminately for bladder infections and working at a winery ... drinking many of exciting tasty yeasts quite regularly for my work ... and craving a lot of carbs as a result. Over the years I gained a lot of experience. You want to get this under control because candida overgrowth leads to worse things depending on your constitution. I learned the most from this web site:"dogtorj.net" and a book that describes the connection between diet and candida growth ... (I'll have to find the name). Stop eating grains, especially wheat and you will avoid the symptoms that make you feel so bad. Think of it as starving those monsters in your gut not yourself as your friends pass the pizza around. Altering your diet is a very challenging lifestyle change. I personally had to give up dairy, wheat, and soy to regain my health, but it sure works! Now that I see how, it's much easier to avoid feeling bad. Good luck
I've just recently visited a gyno a few days ago for a follow up from an emergency room visit. At the ER I was diagnosed with Chlamydia, yeast infection, UTI, and also found an ovarian cyst on my right ovary! I thought one of these ailments was the cause to my recurring yeast infections. I get them almost as often as a menstraul cycle. Since my last visit everything was clear just a check up on for my cyst was neccessary. But Unfortunately, it was discovered that I was also extremely constipated and needed to change my diet adding water and fiber to my diet. Which is going okay now, but I now I have another yeast infection. Monistat isn't working anymore only for a week or two then its back to the same symptoms. I want to rid of this infection once and for all and get my body back under control! PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! My symptoms as of today are abdominal cramps, thick white discharge, vaginal itching, and for some strange reason i crave the same candy, often. I cant take it anymore im about to go crazy and im so depressed. I dnt have any medical insurance, but i'm looking for the QUICKEST, SAFEST, answers! HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLP :'(
