I have a speech impairment studdering been apart my whole life I think due to the struggling of my word's breath ect it caused this piping like yall are experiencing but I have not seen a doctor for witch there's no cure for studdering yet so I can't change my habit's so I guess it something I deal with for now on if it doesn't go away

I've been to see the ENT recently and have been diagnosed with crepitus where the thyroid cartilage is rubbing the spine. I'm a 54 year old male, had it about 4 months. I'm finding it is slowly improving and have good days as well as bad days. If I get a cold or cough or if I'm dehydrated I find it is worse, doctor said it may get better with time. Lets hope so. I'm not so worried now as the symptoms are improving and in my case it's nothing to worry about but it's still very annoying some days.

Thank you so much for your post! Your explanation makes the most sense in my case. My posture at work is horrible( I’m a dentist). My shoulders are high all day, head tilted to the right, and all associates muscles are tense. I’m going to try neck stretches, and work on posture/ergonomics.
