It seems to be tiny trapped air bubbles in my throat causing it.. When the popping comes back I find if I burp it goes away again.
Would you have any more information on this?
I also have acid reflux and am on medication for this, I think it may be linked

Moreover, i have a big deficiency of Vitamin D (just found out) which has impact on bones, muscles etc. so it might be connected to.

Hi. Just tonight--- one swallow and I was fine, but the next--- *pop*. I feel a weird popping that feels to be coming from the top of my Adams apple. I got really freaked out and kept swallowing just to make sure it wasn't a one-time-thing. I kept swallowing until I ran out of saliva, I then went to the bathroom to get a drink of water. I find that the popping only happens when I swallow my own spit, and seems to only occur when I am looking forward. This has only been a problem to me for about an hour now, but after reading some posts on this website I fear this is not the end of it. I am 15 years of age and have a long(er) neck. If anyone knows how to stop this issue while it is still in it's early stages, please let me know!

Hello all ... I am a 34 year old female with the thud/pop or click on the left side of my throat. I developed this issue July 2015 after a trip to the Oregon coast. I remember waking up ... making coffee and when I swallowed it clicked. I then developed a fever and was veryyyy fatigued , weak and high anxiety. I could barely eat due to the new sensation and the feeling of my swallowing getting stuck. I also developed a bloating sensation or a full sensation in my upper intestines on the left side which made it hard for me to have an appetite. Before our family trip and had participated in a health and fitness challenge .. the goal was to reach 16% BF in 3 months. My result was 17% but I felt healthy and great. However I did notice how much muscle I lost from too much cardio and not enough food intake but I gradually reintroduced back into my diet. Anyhow I was really sick for a month and a half with lethargy , insomnia, pain in throat etc. once I was regaining my energy I began to do a ton of research on what the heck this is. I never had neck and should pain the way I do now - the ache, tightness and decrease in motion can be really annoying at times. However.. I've seen an Ent who did the camera up my nose and he said everything looked normal and that it was crepitus. I did not believe this to be true. I ended up having my husband take me to the hospital one morning due to the pain I was experiencing in my upper left abdomen ... they did a full body scan and blood work and told me everything looked normal - sent me home with anxiety meds for sleep and told me to follow up with my doc. I became pretty hopeless at times but I could not give up... after six months of hell I began to gain weight back and my appetite. My energy levels began to slowly climb and my anxiety was less and less. As of today I have had the full body MRI, the camera in nose, an ultrasound on my glands under jaw and of my thyroid which all came back normal. I've seen chiro and do shulman therapy and have also visited a physical therapist who did an MRI on my spine. They found a slight buldge with slight stenosis is my c1 c2 in neck but no other significant findings accept a weird Tarlov cyst at the base of my spine under the spinal fluid. He did however mention that he saw some inflammation or fluid under my chin close to the salivary glands but did not know what it was. He stated it may be a normal thing but suggested to have an ENT look at it. I am now in the process of sending those records to a new ENT I found who also suggested a Ct scan of the pharyngeal area. This is set for July 19. I have seen a hormone doc for the last year due to developing cystic acne and my low energy- her first finding with blood test was high antibodies and low vitamin D level. I also have the MFHRT gene. The ongoing blood draws have been in normal range for thyroid and autoimmune diseases sense. In the past I sometimes struggled with my swallow getting stuck and choked on food but I don't believe this is the cause. I thought maybe I damaged ligaments or tissue when swallowing but I don't think so. Listen to your body and your gut instincts - this is something not yet known in the practicing fields. A few mentions- back in 2014-2015 I had my neck adjusted for the very first time 3 times. The first two times was before the whole throats thing started the 3rd was right after to see if that was the culprit but it did not work. Last week I visited my chiro but had a different guy who did not realize I don't like my neck adjusted... he adjusted it and I immediately had soreness, ache and more tightness than what I had before in my neck and shoulders. Have any of you done the same with same experience? I was diagnosed with TMD years ago I too have jaw ache and clench a ton. I am wondering if it may be caused some how by the slight buldge in my neck and it's pulling things out of alignment ... but there is no correlation with my other symptoms that developed at the same time. My click area is the left side right where the chin skin meets the throat close to where they check your pulse. I though maybe I was developing hashi but my body fought it off or maybe a thyroid storm but my thyroid was inflamed etc. all I know is I'm not letting this go... yes I've learned to manage the anxiety , been to counseling , church etc but I also will not stop until I find the cause. Before all of this ... I felt happy now it's difficult to go a day without thinking or feeling the click thud or pop. It's almost every swallow but when I put my head back it is not present or at least I cannot feel it!! I'm a mother to two teenagers now and trying to keep it all together is trying for sure!!! I played around with different swallows and I find when I swallow more with my tongue up the clicking does not happen! Odd aye! Anyhow please keep sharing findings, experience, thoughts... they are helpful :) oh I do not suffer from GERD or Acid Reflux etc
Thanks fellow throat clickers
Keep you posted
