Glad I found this. Exact same thing for me. Was taking Propecia for years. Started noticing the tapioca like gel clumps in semen. Stop taking propecia. Started losing hair after a few months but also noticed clumps disappeared in a week or so.
Restarted propecia. Unfortunately, hair isn't as good as before. Hopefully it will still help a little in the long run. And tapioca is back.

The gel chunks can mean you're dehydrated. It's not watery and runny cause it needs more fluid. You whole body will benefit from more water.
I get this same tapioca like (or clear noodle type) consistency with uncomfortable ejaculation when ive gone a week or more without sex. Started about for about 18 years or so ago. I have fathered 4 healthy children since I first noticed so infertility shouldn’t be a related issue.
It is largely due to frequency of ejaculation. As many have stated. This was confirmed by my physician. First question out of his mouth was "had it been a while since you ejaculated?". That was the case. He had one simple piece of advice...keep the plumbing clear via masturbation or intercourse at least once a week to prevent build up and coagulation. As stated above in other comments, should the issue persist, it could be dietary. My situation was remedied by more frequent discharge.
Not a problem for us. My husband has this issue and I got pregnant the first month after stopping birth control twice. :-)
I've had the same issue for about 15 years (since about 25or26). The difference I've noticed compared to what I've read is that mine is there whether I ejaculate once a week or three times a day. My issue with it is that it keeps me from being able to shoot. It's more like a slow flow. I can feel the globules moving through my penis slowly as I'm ejaculating and most of the time have to massage it out. If I don't do this, it will find its way out after returning to a flaccid state.
Also, I spent 7 months as a strict vegan and it never disappeared so not a protein or clean plumbing issue.

Drop all caffeine from your diet for two weeks and see what happens you will be extremely surprised

Had vasectomy after 3 kids at age 35, now I'm 60.
Knowing how many here take SSRI meds would be interesting.
Now, the real reason I'm here. If you really want to clean out the globules, use a large enough butt plug to put inside pressure on the area. Not only is it more enjoyable than I expected but I was shocked how much glob was stuck in there that does not come out with non-plug ejaculation.
I thank my wife for getting me past shoving something up there as my libido started to wane.

I get a couple in the ejaculate even when I masturbate daily. The longer I wait the more clumps there are. It's embarrassing, has anyone had success getting rid of them?
